Love ur Look Summer 2014

Its been an exciting Summer for Love ur Look  5 pop up shops ( including House of Fraser) and 3 festivals later the Summer collection is swinging in the wind with only a few sizes left in each style.

The season started as you know with our magical pop up experience with House of Fraser on Oxford Street and sold out in store within 1 week. There was no way of predicting how successful Love ur Look was going to be in store and online, but we cherished every minute of our time in HOF and learnt so much for both the customers and store. A great experience which will never be forgotten.Pop up shop image

Our next stop was in Leigh on Sea.. After visiting Leigh on Sea for a weekend I realised they needed something different on the high-street.

If you’ve never been to Leigh , think of Brighton but 10 times more stylish, fast cars , big houses, boutique shops and lots of friendly faces.

Selecting a pop up shop location is always a little gamble but I soon realised there was evidence of my Love ur Look customer just by looking at the furniture shops and gift shops ,all that was missing for her lifestyle were the clothes for her to wear… Bring on LoveurLook!

Leigh on Sea

Love ur Look set up shop in the Faux Workshop, 70 Broadway which is used mainly as a gallery. This meant it was an ideal blank canvas! In both July and September we Popped up in Leigh on Sea and have already signed up to go back in 2015 !

A week later Love ur Look was set up in Camden with our friends Collective who were kind enough to give LuL a space for a second year.

Collective are an organisation supporting Camden high street and new emerging businesses with industry expert advice, funding, work space and studios as well as pop up shop locations on Camden High Street!

We had a short but sweet week and met some great new customers.. Totally ‘Love ur Look’! A big THANK YOU TO CAMDEN!CAMDEN 2014

After Camden it was time for a little camping .. So Tate (creative strategy manager)  and I headed to the Retro festival! A new festival for Love ur Look and well worth the visit.

The Retro festival is situated in Maidenhead and had well over 7,000 visitors on the Saturday alone so needless to say Tate and I only had a few hours of calm before the storm of excited customers purchasing Love ur Look.. It was so busy we sadly didn’t have time to take too pictures of all the stunning ladies who brought from us.. But check out the pictures below of this truly fun caravan which has inspired me for 2015!!  Love ur Look will be back at the retro festival for 2015 so be sure to book your tickets on time!

We were back in Leigh on Sea for a second stop after our success the first time …

Our last events for the Summer were Forest Hill Fashion Week and the Handmade Fair – Curated by Kirstie Allsopp in Hampton Court.

During Forest Hill Fashion Week we were supported but a little boutique called ‘Best of Both’. A massive thank you to all of the locals who came out to purchase a Love ur Look dress. We were very busy that weekend as we were also trading at the Handmade Fair which was the cherry on the cake and the best way to end the season.

The Handmade Fair was a great success with lots of workshops and talks from professionals inspiring people in fashion and business, including Cath Kidson and Steve Ashley (son of Laura Ashley).

Just check out these pictures and a very special one of Ronke (looking like she’s had a few too many glasses of red wine) and Kirstie at the after party of the Handmade Fair.. handmade fair 1 Handmade fair 2
